Available from mid-April, the size ten butter dish is ideal for front of house catering, giving operators not only perfect portion control but helping to reduce wastage normally associated with larger butter formats. Made using the finest quality butter from the green pastures of Ireland, Lakeland Dairies enables operators to offer consumers a pure and rich creamy butter to accompany breads and pastries – meeting the growing demand for full flavoured and natural dairy products.
Simon Muschamp, Head of Marketing, explains: “Butter is an increasingly important category for Lakeland Dairies and the introduction of our new dish enables us to offer a format for every dining occasion and usage. We are proud to offer operators a pure, unblended Irish butter churned from quality cows’ milk. More and more consumers are turning to natural food products and choosing to ‘eat clean’, especially butter, following the increasing bad press around highly-processed spreads. With Lakeland Dairies butter, chefs and operators can have the peace of mind that they are giving their customers nothing but the best Irish dairy produce.”
As well as a new butter format, April sees the launch of new design packaging for Lakeland Dairies’ 250g butter and size 7 foil portions, with the introduction of a high quality gold foil that communicates the brand’s Irish heritage through a shamrock on pack. The 250g butter, which is available in cartons of 20 and 40, is colour referenced with green for salted butter and red for unsalted butter for ease of identification. Lakeland Dairies is one of the largest farmer-owned dairy co-operatives in Ireland. On a daily basis quality milk is collected from 2,200 farms, where cows graze on lush green pastures in a fifteen county catchment area within the island of Ireland.
