Black Forest Gâteau

Ingredients
- 600ml Millac Gold
- 250g Lakeland Dairies Butter
- 200g flour
- 6 eggs
- 250g caster sugar
- 100g cocoa powder
- 100g dark chocolate
- 400g morello cherries
- 100g cherry jam
- 10ml Kirsch
- 100g fresh cherries
Method
Whisk the Lakeland Dairies Butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs. Fold in the flour and cocoa powder.
Place into a large square baking tray and bake at 180°C for 30 minutes. Remove from the oven and place onto a cooling rack.
Once cool, cut in half and drizzle over the Kirsch.
Whisk the Millac Gold until it forms soft peaks. Spread the jam over one half of the sponge. Place a layer of morello cherries on top and then the whipped Millac Gold. Place the second half of sponge on next and cover with more whipped Millac Gold.
Garnish with fresh cherries and grated dark chocolate.
